Support the Master Chorale with a casual night out of food, fun, and lively entertainment, The Masters!
Our singers possess amazing vocal talents! But you’ve not heard them like this: Entertainment for The Masters will be a karaoke-style competition, with our own NCMC singers performing unexpected repertoire, including pop hits, Broadway songs, and jazz standards with karaoke accompaniment. Like popular reality TV shows, audience-members will be able to text-to-vote for their favorite contestant.
Market Hall, the historic venue in Raleigh’s City Market, will provide a sophisticated backdrop for our hip cabaret lounge with fun and amazing talent, laughter, music, food, drink, and dancing. Admissions include heavy hors d'oeuvres and a drink ticket, plus the awesome talents of Master Chorale singers. Try your luck at the wall of wine and the dessert auction. Featured beverages are wine and locally-brewed Ponysaurus beer.

One of the major choral organizations of the Southeast, the North Carolina Master Chorale has been performing choral-orchestral masterworks for more than 70 years. Under the direction of Alfred E. Sturgis since 1993, the Master Chorale presents a diverse repertoire from the Renaissance to Contemporary with ensembles ranging from 16-voices to 170-voices. Our singers, selected by audition, bring a collective wealth of training and experience.
In 2015, the Master Chorale was named Resident Chorus of the North Carolina Symphony. Founded as the Raleigh
Oratorio Society in 1942, Master Chorale has evolved into a major regional
performing arts group that works with over 250 artist-musicians each season,
reaching an annual audience of over 10,000 choral arts enthusiasts.
